Eliza Fay

Mrs. Eliza Fay and her husband arrived in India on 18th April 1779, and stayed here until July 1795, they both had to face various troubles in their ship journey from England to India and sometimes leaves her at a low ebb in her fortunes. However, once they were in Calcutta, they had a better life.
Mrs. Fay also visited other places while in her stay in Calcutta like Chinsura, Malabar, Murshidabad and "Chandernagore".
Mrs. Fay, in advanced years, returned to Calcutta, about a year before her death, and set to work to put her letters into print,
